Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of DashQuote, an AI-powered quoting and invoicing tool for UK tradespeople, provided at dashquote.co.uk (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data, and forms part of these Terms by reference.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use DashQuote.
• The Service is intended for sole traders and small trades businesses based in the UK.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Each account is for a single user — DashQuote does not currently support team or multi-user accounts.

DashQuote lets you:

• Generate itemised quotes from a job description, photos, and voice notes using AI.
• Edit, save, and send quotes to your customers as branded PDFs by email.
• Track quote status (draft, sent, accepted, declined) and convert accepted quotes to invoices.

We may add, change, or remove features from time to time. We'll try to give reasonable notice of any change that materially reduces the Service's functionality.

• DashQuote Pro is billed on a recurring subscription basis through Stripe, our payment provider. Current pricing is shown at dashquote.co.uk.
• New subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. You can start the trial without entering payment details. A payment card is only required when the trial ends, in order to continue using the Service.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Account → Billing — your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Fees are shown inclusive or exclusive of VAT as applicable and may change with reasonable notice before your next renewal.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods.
• Promotional codes (such as founder discounts) apply only under the terms stated at the time they were offered and may be withdrawn for future renewals at our discretion.

“Your Content” means the job descriptions, photos, voice notes, line items, prices, and customer details you input or generate using DashQuote.

• You retain ownership of Your Content. We do not claim any ownership rights over it.
• You grant us a licence to host, store, and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, generating PDFs and sending emails on your behalf).
• Where Your Content includes personal data about your customers, you act as the data controller and DashQuote acts as your data processor, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and share your customers' personal data through the Service.
• You must not use DashQuote to store or send content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes anyone else's rights.

DashQuote uses third-party AI services (Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's Whisper) to generate suggested line items, descriptions, and pricing from the information you provide. This is disclosed in the app before each AI generation.

• AI-generated content is a starting point only. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for the job.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any quote or invoice before it is sent to a customer — including all prices, quantities, and descriptions of work.
• We are not liable for losses arising from AI-generated content that you send to a customer without review.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our written consent.
• Upload content containing malware or that could disrupt the Service.
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications to third parties.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

The DashQuote name, logo, software, and design are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding, except as needed to use the Service normally (for example, your customer-facing quote pages do not display DashQuote branding).

We aim to keep DashQuote available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or due to factors outside our control, including outages of third-party providers (Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, OpenAI, Resend, Vercel).

We recommend keeping your own copies of important quotes and invoices using the data export feature in Settings → Data export.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.

Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

• DashQuote is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business, or data, arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

• You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if we discontinue the Service — we'll give reasonable notice where practical.
• On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, but provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Sections 8, 10, 13, and 14) will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service, pricing, or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, mandatory local consumer protection laws may also apply.
